The Hospital Authority (HA) was planning to redevelop the Grantham Hospital (GH) in phases. In order to ascertain whether or not the proposed project was prima facie technically feasible, Wong & Ouyang was appointed to prepare a Technical Feasibility Statement.

A major component of the redevelopment will be the new public Grantham Hospital as one of Hong Kong’s first major and comprehensive Cancer Centre. The total CFA is about 200,000 s. m.

The Hospital is located on a site with abundancy of lush landscaping and a tranquil environment for patients. In the planning of the new Grantham Hospital, opportunities were taken to maximize views to the surrounding natural environment and exposure to landscaping elements which is widely acknowledged to be beneficial to the healing process.
