The Orchards comprises of two 40 storey residential towers on a three storey podium that accommodates the clubhouse, residential facilities, and carparking. It was one of the first residential projects to incorporate green initiatives such as water and energy saving systems and sky gardens. The use of cladding pre-fabrication techniques, hardiwall partitions and spray-on plaster reduced construction time and wastage and minimised disturbance to surrounding buildings.

The Orchards is the first urban residential building in Hong Kong to be awarded with the ‘Excellent’ rating from the Hong Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method (HKBEAM). It was also awarded the Green Building Award, Merit in Residential Building Design in the New Buildings Category in 2006.
