CUHK Centralised General Research Laboratory Complex (Block 3) in Area 39

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is expanding its Northern Campus (Area 39) research and teaching cluster with the addition of the Centralised General Research Laboratory Complex (Block 3). Complementing neighboring academic and residential developments, this new eight-story complex will provide approximately 12,000 m² of Net Operational Floor Area (NOFA) and 24,970 m² of Construction Floor Area (CFA).

Built to drive scientific breakthrough and cross-disciplinary learning, the state-of-the-art facility will accommodate Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) laboratories, wet labs, and dedicated animal facilities alongside modern teaching labs, classrooms, a lecture hall, and administrative support spaces. The surrounding development integrates extensive landscaping and updated utility infrastructure, as well as 60 EV-charging-enabled parking spaces (including two accessible bays) split between the basement and ground levels.
