Union Hospital Comprehensive Development

Congratulations to Union Hospital on the opening of its Extension block on 6 May 2024.

Our Senior Director Johnnie Lai, Director Chuck Ng and Associate Director Edmond Fung had joined Henderson Land Development and Union Hospital senior management at the opening ceremony to celebrate the special occasion.

Wong & Ouyang acts as the Lead Architect, Interior Designer and Authorised Person for the project.

The ancillary block comprises of a new extension to existing obstetrics department adding more ward rooms, labour and delivery medical facilities, pathology department and a sky roof garden. A total of 46 semi-private ensuite single bed rooms with toilet had been provided where patient privacy is greatly preserved. The interior design creates a warm environment offering a relax and joyful recovery journey for parents, mother and her new born baby. Lastly, Sky roof garden and inserted courtyards at each level are filled with green plants, injecting vitality into the otherwise monotonous therapeutic space. The 3 storeys ancillary block is of a total construction floor area of 6,700 s.m..
